Privacy Policy

This policy applies to vaerti.com and the Vaerti interest list. Vaerti is currently in pre-launch, so the only personal information we process is what you voluntarily submit through the interest list form and any email correspondence you send us.

Vaerti is intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted information, contact us and we will delete it.

Information you provide. When you join the interest list we collect:

• Required: your name, email address, and the city or area you're in.
• Optional preference details: age, gender, orientation, relationship intent, whether you have children, whether you want children, smoking, importance of religion, and how far you'd travel for a date.
• Your marketing consent choice and the time it was recorded.
• A referral source, if you arrived through a tracked link.

Optional fields are exactly that — optional. They help us understand demand and plan market launches, and nothing about your signup depends on answering them.

Information collected automatically. Our hosting and email providers process standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, and delivery events (sent, opened, bounced) in order to serve the site and deliver mail securely.

We do not collect payment information, government identification, or precise device location on this site.

• To confirm your place on the interest list and send you a receipt of your signup.
• To notify our team internally that a new person has joined.
• To understand where demand is strongest so we can prioritize launch markets.
• To contact you about early access when Vaerti opens in your area.
• To send occasional beta updates and launch news — only if you opted in to marketing emails.
• To protect the service against spam, abuse, and fraudulent submissions.

Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we rely on your consent for marketing messages, on our legitimate interest in operating and improving a pre-launch waiting list for service and analytics communications, and on legal obligation where record keeping is required.

You can withdraw consent at any time; it does not affect prior processing.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. We do not publish a searchable directory of people who join the list.

We share limited data only with service providers who help us operate:

• Our hosting and database provider, which stores interest list entries.
• Our transactional email provider, which delivers your confirmation and our internal notification.

These providers process data on our instructions under contract. We may also disclose information if required by law, or in connection with a merger or acquisition — in which case this policy continues to govern your information.

Interest list submissions travel over encrypted connections and are written through a server-side endpoint with validation. The database enforces row-level access rules: the public site can submit an entry, but cannot read, edit, or list any entries. Access to stored signups is limited to authorized Vaerti personnel.

No system is perfectly secure. We work to protect your information but cannot guarantee absolute security.

We keep interest list entries until Vaerti launches in your market and for a reasonable period afterward, or until you ask us to delete your entry — whichever comes first. Email delivery logs are retained for a short period for troubleshooting.

• Unsubscribe: every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.
• Access: request a copy of the information we hold about you.
• Correction: ask us to fix anything inaccurate.
• Deletion: ask us to remove your entry entirely.
• Objection or restriction: ask us to stop or limit certain processing.

Depending on where you live (for example California, the EU, or the UK) you may have additional statutory rights. We honor these requests regardless of location. Email us and we will respond within 30 days. We will never discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

This site is intentionally light. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking pixels. Any cookies present are strictly necessary for the site to function. We honor Global Privacy Control and browser Do Not Track signals as an opt-out of non-essential tracking.

Vaerti operates from the United States and our providers may process data there. If you submit information from outside the U.S., you understand it will be transferred and stored in the U.S. under appropriate safeguards.

We may update this policy as Vaerti evolves toward launch. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date above, and where required we will notify you by email.
